Foster Care Babysitting Training
As an initiative of our Foster Family Care Ministry, we’ve learned that qualified babysitters are a big need for families. While there are different requirements based on the age of child in care, we will provide you with the basic training to set you up as a qualified babysitter. Must be 19+ to sign up. Lunch will be provided.

Date: Saturday, November 2nd
Time: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Location: W.C. Blair Recreation Centre (map)

Service Projects

We receive inquiries for various service projects in the community, through different organizations and individuals in need. If you have the desire to serve people with your skill set, or profession (trades, organizing, cleaning, moving, cargo van, etc,…)  sign up and we will connect you to the team that makes these projects happen!

Adopt-A-School Program – HD Stafford (Langley)

This program creates opportunities to work alongside schools identified by the School District as Inner-City and highlights the needs and risks for students. We have events throughout the year for people to serve and love these students and their families.

City Care Dental

City Care Dental is an initiative of City Dream Centre. They operate a fully functioning mobile dental bus, helping to restore dignity one smile at a time. Licensed dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and supervised dental students partner to offer a full range of dental care. We have the opportunity to serve kids from our adopted schools, where there is a a big need. If you are a dental professional, we’d love to have you a part of our next event.

Foster Family Care (Langley)

Throughout the province of BC, there are over 6800 kids in foster care with over 1000 kids waiting for temporary homes. Fostering is a beautiful way to provide a safe and loving home to kids and teens who are coming from very difficult circumstances. We believe foster families remain healthy when provided with a strong support network behind them.

Langley Food Bank (Langley City)

The Langley Food Bank provides food distribution every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Every Tuesday and Thursday there are opportunities for groups to help with unloading food shipments, sorting and restocking the shelves. The long-term vision is to provide ministry opportunities outside of the regular food bank hours, for people to connect relationally.

ISSofBC – Refugee Care (Langley City)

ISSofBC in Langley provides settlement services, mentorship and help with integration into Canada. We’ve partnered with them to start Women’s groups and help with tutoring and integration in Langley City.
