City Dream Centre
City Dream Center offers resources to those most in need within the City of Surrey and GVA. The provide practical help while also sharing the love of God through their programs. They serve families in Surrey through their partnerships with local schools.
Opportunities:
- The Gathering is a community dinner for parents and kids attending local schools that City Dream Centre serves. It’s a great space for families to connect and hear the gospel. The Gathering happens every 3rd Thursday of the month. Volunteer opportunities: Food prep/service, Kidz Jam, and Connect team. Location: Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre ( 13458 107a Ave, Surrey, BC V3T 0G4)
- Food hampers are packed throughout the school year and are distributed to partner schools to help families facing food insecurities. Volunteer shifts are usually scheduled during the day at their HQ (19257 Enterprise Way, Surrey, BC V3S 8W1).
- City Care Dental is a mobile dental office that is ran by volunteer dental professionals. This is a great outreach for dental professionals as there are a lot of dental health care needs in our local schools.
- The Back-to-School Event are their biggest outreach of the year that happens every August. There is a wide range of volunteer opportunities, like food prep/service, arts/crafts activities, backpack packing, haircuts and nailpolish stations, etc.
- They have a thrift store called For The Love of Thrifting and is ran by volunteers. Location: 19211 Fraser Hwy #106, Surrey, BC
