Young Life
Young Life introduces adolescents to Jesus Christ and helps them grow in their faith. They do this through camps, clubs and classes for youth throughout the year. Young Life is run through a team of staff and volunteers that love youth and Jesus.
Where: South Surrey
Opportunities:
- Become a volunteer leader! ‘Club’ is their regular meeting hosted by Young Life volunteer leaders and staff for their teen-aged friends. It is launched by the relationships they have built through contact work. These meetings are attended by teens from junior and senior high schools and includes music, humour and a talk about the Christian faith. Time commitment for leaders is 7-14 hours/week.
- Capernaum – students with special needs
- Wildlife – students in grades 6-8
- YoungLife – students in grades 9-12
- Campaigners are students who are trained in how to listen well and discuss topics on faith with their peers. As a Campaigner, you will not only grow in your faith and leadership skills, you will also be inviting your friends to join you at YoungLife Club events! The time commitment is 6-8 hours/week.
- Be a part of the Committee! Committee members support YoungLife leaders in many different ways (ie. prayer coordinator, financial manager, donor relations, banquet coordinator, and communications coordinator). The Committee meets 1/month.
