Village School of Ministry
Immerse Program
Village School of Ministry (VSOM) is a strategic partnership between Village Church and Fellowship Pacific, designed to form biblically grounded, theologically trained, and practically capable leaders for real ministry.
This isn’t just education, it’s formation.
What this is
VSOM exists to raise up leaders ready to step into meaningful roles within local churches across BC and beyond.
Our aim is simple:
To develop more leaders than we can keep—so the Church as a whole is strengthened.
Through a unique combination of graduate-level theological education and embedded ministry leadership, the Immerse program integrates what you learn with what you lead.
who it’s for
This program is for those with a clear call to church leadership.
You should be ready to:
- Lead people and teams
- Make decisions in complex environments
- Take ownership in real ministry contexts
- Balance leadership responsibility with graduate-level study
This is not designed for:
- Counselling-focused paths
- Chaplaincy without leadership responsibility
- Academic or research-only trajectories
What Makes VSOM Different
You won’t just study ministry, you’ll live it.
VSOM is built around competency-based education, meaning your growth is measured not just by what you know, but by how you lead.
You’ll develop:
- Leadership capacity
- Discipleship skills
- Communication clarity
- Pastoral awareness
- Self-leadership and emotional intelligence
All within the real, day-to-day life of a functioning church.
The Village Immerse Experience
What makes participating through Village Church unique:
- Staff Cohorts led by Village Pastors and Directors
- Round Table Conversations with fellow Immerse students and guest teachers
- Twice-Monthly Staff Chapels
- Monthly All-Staff Prayer Gatherings
