Justin was born in London, UK, to non-Christian parents. He was a convinced atheist by the time he left high school to attend medical school in London. While at University, he met a group of Christians and spent hours arguing that Christianity was irrelevant, unscientific and for losers! After months of debate, he had a conversation with a Christian friend and was deeply convicted by the Holy Spirit of his need for God. He became a follower of Jesus shortly after that in what was an unexpected and radical conversion to Christ. Justin’s whole life and direction changed. He left medicine to become a pastor, studying theology, earning two Master’s degrees, one in Divinity (Theology) and the other in Personal & Pastor Counselling. He later went on to earn a Doctor of Ministry specializing in Team Ministry & Counselling.
Justin and his wife (Sue) committed to follow the Lord whatever and wherever he called them. He has served as a Senior Pastor in the UK (London area & Manchester), Canada (Toronto, Surrey), and California (San Jose).
In 2015, Justin took early retirement because of Sue’s health, and they joined the Village Church family. Sue and Justin have been incredible leaders and servants, starting with leading a Community Group in their home. Sue gave vision and direction to the Alpha Course. Justin has served in various areas – a counsellor, a director of Freedom Session, a mentor for the Master’s Immerse Program, and a Community Group leader. Sue passed away after a long battle with cancer and went home to heaven in 2022.
Together, they have twin sons – Simon lives with his family in Toronto; Andrew lives with his family in Singapore, and they have five grandchildren.
