It’s part of our vision to bring the church to people where they are. Over the last couple of years we have been praying and looking for a location in Langley because a number of people who make up our church come from that area. Now, by God’s grace, we’ve found an amazing venue and we’re excited to announce that we will officially launch Village Church Langley on Sunday, June 5, 2016! Our Langley site will have a 10:00am service.
The venue for this site is amazing. It’s a brand new building which belongs to Church in the Valley (23589 Old Yale Road). Their congregation gathers on Saturdays, so it’s available to us for rent on Sundays. The building has a state of the art auditorium that can seat 900 people, it has a great kids space, a large foyer, lots of parking, and a great gymnasium. It will be an amazing location out of which to do ministry and work under Jesus to reach and disciple people in Langley and the surrounding area. You’re going to love it! If you live anywhere in the Langley area, plan on making this your home site, as we want you attending church, serving, and being on mission as close to your home and neighbourhoods as possible!
The reason why we plant new sites and churches is simple: so that more people can have more opportunities to meet Jesus in local expressions of our church that are closer to them and we’re excited how that is taking shape in regards to the Langley area. So pray, prep, and be ready to make the move if this is in your neck of the woods!
Sermon Format
The Langley site will be a combination of live preaching and video depending on the week just like our South Surrey and North Surrey locations. The 8:00AM service at the South Surrey site will always be a live preaching service, so that we can capture the video. Every other service at every site will then rotate between live preaching and video.
Other details, such as site staff, etc., will be rolled out this coming Sunday at all of our services.
